Entity DetailExplore
Exploratory play invites children to look around, choose where to go and discover different ways to move through and interact with a play environment.
Exploration begins when children are given enough freedom to decide what interests them and what to try next. They may follow an unfamiliar route, move around a shape, look through an opening, crawl into a small space or return to something they discovered earlier. Rather than requiring one correct way to play, an exploratory environment offers possibilities that children can notice, test and revisit at their own pace. In soft play, this can turn even simple forms, levels and pathways into a richer experience of movement, curiosity and discovery.
